Desired Candidate Profile

This individual would be responsible for driving for the Head of Office and other high-ranking officials, as well as the upkeep and maintenance of the assigned UNHCR vehicle(s). They would need to follow strict instructions and security guidance provided by the supervisor. In addition to driving, they would be responsible for performing minor maintenance and repair of UNHCR vehicles. They would also provide clerical, maintenance, and other support services necessary for office administration. In the absence of an interpreter, they would also be expected to provide basic interpretation services.

This individual would need to possess excellent driving skills and knowledge of driving rules and regulations, basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance and minor repairs, and good interpersonal skills for regular contacts with staff within the UNHCR Office and others outside UNHCR. They would need to have the ability to follow strict instructions and security guidance, basic clerical and administrative skills, and basic interpretation skills. They would need to uphold UNHCR’s core values of professionalism, integrity, and respect for diversity.
