Position Summary

:

We are seeking a skilled Buyer in Panama, responsible for managing commercial and sourcing activities in the IT category for Nestlé globally. Reporting to the Global Category Lead, your main task will be to execute the category strategy regionally and globally, employing strategic sourcing processes, tools, and policies. Additionally, you may handle projects based on business priorities such as compliance and sustainability.

A day in the life of a Buyer for IT:

  • Preparing and conducting negotiation events to secure favorable commercial agreements with suppliers endorsed by the Category Manager.
  • Contributing regional insights to the global sourcing strategy through communication and supplier management plan implementation.
  • Negotiating contracts in alignment with the strategy to achieve advantageous commercial agreements with suppliers.
  • Ensuring adherence to Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies, and standards.
  • Fostering innovation with suppliers and possibly integrating their innovations into our operations.
  • Identifying opportunities and driving regional/global projects for cost and efficiency optimization through leverage and synergy.

What will make you successful:

  • University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or Information Technology.
  • Experience in Procurement, preferably in Indirect Procurement.
  • Proven track record of delivering competitive advantage to the business by developing and executing sourcing strategies for diverse Marketing categories.
  • Quick learning ability and agility to navigate through uncertainty.
  • Capability to lead projects and implement change in a culturally diverse environment at various organizational levels.
  • Success in risk management, responsible sourcing, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to influence and collaborate with individuals across a multifaceted organization.
  • Keen interest in the IT sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in English is required, while knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly beneficial.
