Purpose of the role


As the
Aftersales Director for our CARCAM operation (Costa Rica, Panamá, Barbados, and Puerto Rico) you will be responsible for providing direction for the entire Aftersales operation to deliver against one of Inchcape's key priorities of 'Growing Aftersales'.

Our Aftersales Director will ensure that all the departments within the Aftersales operation function efficiently and as one unit to optimize performance and provide customer excellence.


Location:
This role is based in Panama City.

Main Responsibilities

Profitability

  • Meet key performance indicators and targets for the individual sites.
  • Look for opportunities to increase efficiency of the Service/Body shop and parts operations to maximize the full potential.
  • Take actions to ensure sustained profitability of Departments/sites.
  • Ensuring we meet OEM targets and Bonus elements.

Customer Service/Satisfaction

  • Implement strategies with the team to grow the business, increase efficiency customer satisfaction, and customer service retention.
  • Respond promptly to any customer complaints and ensure timely and correct resolution.
  • Liaise with insurance companies, fleet operators etc to ensure good working relationships are developed.

Cost Control

  • Maintain rigorous control of operating department costs and budget.
  • Manage stock inventories effectively.
  • Ensure warranty procedures are followed correctly to ensure prompt recovery of monies due.
  • Manage debtors in conjunction with Accounts Department.
  • Spare parts and refurbishment stock management and availability.

Administration

  • Ensure that company standards are followed in relation to control of funds, remises, vehicles, and other company resources.
  • Ensure that steps are taken to ensure safe working processes are followed and the provision of H&S legislation is complied with.
  • Optimized levels of customer service to achieve a high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)
  • Maximized productivity and returns.
  • Accurate costs and profit performance managed by facts.
  • 100% timely utilization and accuracy of after sales tool in all service centers.
  • Accurate parts and inventory forecasting and reconciliations.
  • Quality of Repair.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Completed, MBA Preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience related wholesale experience in automotive.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a managerial role within the Aftersales environment in retail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English able to negotiate and influence.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a target driven environment.
  • Experience of developing and monitoring budgets and Manufacture Targets
  • Understanding of marketing processes and development of pricing strategies
  • Up to date knowledge of vehicle and consumer legislation, trade practices and FSA regulations and duties.
  • Good planning and organization skills.
