Property Accountant

Responsible for managing a portfolio of multifamily property accounting functions. Primary Responsibilities Oversee process with residents for Annual Recertification and maintain tracking log for records. Review and audit applicant and resident files to ensure compliance with Federal and State program regulations and assist property staff with compliance. Perform risk management analysis to avoid compliance issues. Effectively compile and write MOR documents. Facilitate compliance inspections and audits of property by housing authority, county, or other funding and oversight entities. Responsible for analyzing and monitoring delinquencies throughout portfolio. Monitor collection efforts and ensure consistent implementation and compliance of all company policies and procedures pertaining to collections of past due charges.

**Requisitos**:
A strong understanding of and experience with affordable Section 8 housing and HUD processes including REAC, MOR, OCAF, EIV, and Tracs. Proficiency in Microsoft Suites: Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Knowledge of property management software/compliance monitoring software is preferred. Ability to interpret and understand tenant file information. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong follow up. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Current compliance certifications for HUD and tax credit preferred or ability to attain certifications within six months of hire date. Experience with property management/compliance monitoring software preferred. Minimum of two years’ experience in national/regional property management, asset management, or affordable housing regulatory organization/agency. Minimum one year experience in affordable housing, specifically in the recertification process. A strong understanding of HUD programs/processes is required.
