BI Developer

Overview This position requires both a technical acumen and an understanding of the business needs. Partnering and working closely with the business is key to delivering quality Business Intelligence solutions that will give the various business units the information they need to stay competitive. Responsibilities Work closely with business partners to understand and implement key business drivers for business intelligence initiatives. Develop and coordinate with the team on the overall BI delivery architecture, from extract through presentation.

Implement static and flexible presentation of data to include reports, visualizations (charts, graphs, maps, etc.), and custom formats. Design and coordinate a curriculum for coaching and training business partners in the use of business intelligence tools to enhance business decision making capability. Support the user community in the use of business intelligence tools to query data sources for report outputs. Follow and develop standards, policies and procedures for the form, structure and attributes of the business intelligence tools and systems.

Support implemented BI solutions through performance monitoring and tuning of queries, address data integrity concerns, monitor system performance and communicate functional and technical issues. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience MS SQL Server - working knowledge of tables/views/indexes/stored procedures Experience with one or more ETL tools such as SSIS Strong technical skills with data warehousing technologies Strong data modeling skills (normalized and multidimensional) Preferred Experience with BI Technologies such as Qlik, Tableau or Power BI Experience with Reporting platforms such as SSRS or NPrint Experience with SaaS solutions Experience with developing BI solutions based on ERP data Experience with PostgreSQL Nice to have: Infor CloudSuite/M3 experience General Ability to understand business data and its various sources. Understanding of database technologies and data warehouse methodologies. Strong business and communication skills.

Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language. Maintain a high level of customer service to both internal and external clients. Must have excellent problem solving and analytical skills. High initiative and ability to prioritize in a high-pressure environment.

Must be able to work on simultaneous projects.
