We are Damen Services. Damen Services is a team of 300 very dedicated, creative, entrepreneurial, and motivated maritime professionals who support their clients and each other. We interact directly with Damen customers around the world, helping to find solutions for challenging situations. Meet the Service Hub team.

The Panama Service Hub is founded in 2021 and still growing. The roleThe Panama Service Hub team is responsible to provide customers in the region with a local point of contact, fast response times, and a personal approach. The Service Hub’s broad scope will provide customers support with warranty and maintenance issues of their vessels. From the hub, Damen will also provide a range of training courses to its clients, including vessel familiarization and maintenance.

The services and accessibility offered by Damen’s Panama Hub are paired with a wealth of information and connectivity accessible via diverse web portals like Triton and the My Damen web portal. Key accountabilitiesAre you a good fit for the Project Engineer position at Damen Services now or in the near future? As Project Engineer you work in a hybrid position where you will be responsible for: The delivery of warranty support to multiple vessels, train the clients and act as a field service engineer who will conduct some “hands-on” tasks and small projects; Evaluating incoming warranty requests from our customers; Providing pro-active solutions and proposals to our clients; Coordinating, monitoring and supervising the service activities to be carried out, occasionally also on location; Ensuring proper (technical) preparation of the assignment; Attending other Damen projects such as warranty support and client visits. Skills & experienceWe ask our future Project Engineer to come prepared with the following: Engineering qualification at bachelor's level or equivalent working level; Proven experience in a service organization, Maritime-, Mechanical
- or Electrical Engineering; Project management and service skills; Good command of the English and Spanish language, both verbal and written; Excellent communication and advisory skills; Result-oriented approach with a pro-active mentality; A capable hands-on engineer with a proven track record in the maritime sector of Operations, Diagnosing, Maintenance and Repair; An effective communicator with team members internally and stakeholders externally; Decisive and at the same time flexible in your approach, working methodically; Pragmatic and persuasive with a solid personality, fitting within a dynamic organization with a can-do attitude; Able to influence, put things into perspective and also knows how to have the patience that is sometimes needed to achieve results; Well able to manage expectations.
