**Job Summary**:
Within the Finance Hub Panama we are looking for an Accounting Expert Purchase to Payment / Payments Analyst to work in the Payment Team.
The position is based in Panama City, Panama.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.

**What you will do**:
As an Accounting Expert Purchase/ Payments Analyst to Payment you will:

- Run Payment Proposals: we are responsible for three major companies payments of goods and services. Perform compliance verification, quality review and veracity, follow up on payment approvals and completion.
- Manual Payments Process: payments that are exceptional and government cases that require urgent payments to be done on time, followed up with the approvers and finalized. Perform compliance verification, quality review and veracity, follow up on payment approvals and completion.
- Intercompany reconciliation and netting payments and receivable for the 3 major companies assuring conciliation is done by the end of the month.
- Ensure that the technical processes of payments are up to date and working well. Resolve any technical problems that comes up on timely manner and take actions for improvement in decisive manner when necessary.
- Participate in Test & Validation of changes to processes and systems. Be the first line of support to the process performers (“users”).
- Payments Query Management: Resolve issues of invoices pending to be paid as necessary, contacting any necessary stakeholder. Be able to respond fully and timely to the vendors and stakeholders that sends us the queries about their payments.
- As we are a Hub, we are the experts of payments for all America’s companies and we are responsible for KPIs and to understand them and the issues that arise and do the follow up with the local market teams to get into the targets of our metrics.
- Ensure compliance to Company policies and procedures.
- Respond and give all necessary information requested by external and internal auditors in all requests.
- Execute continuous improvement methodologies and deliver improvements
- Adopt global process, best practices and related improvements
- Train any other member of the team as needed in the process to be done accurately. Update/create as needed quality training material for users.
- Work under pressure, as we have urgent payments with deadlines that must be fed on tax payments, vendor’s payments and bank cutoffs.

**We believe you have**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounting/ Finance
- Advanced English and Spanish.
- SAP knowledge is preferred
- Excel formulas and analysis is required
- Analytical skills necessary
- Teamwork collaboration
- Meet deadlines specially on month-end
