We are actively searching for a Civil or Structural CAD Technician to join our Panama City, Panama office. As the successful new hire, you will design and draft detailed drawings using multiple Computer Aided Design software packages for use in planning, permitting and construction of coastal, civil/structural infrastructure projects in the areas of ports and harbors; environmental, water resources; urban waterfronts and marinas; transportation highways, bridges, and rail; buildings; inspection and rehabilitation; and energy. We are a multidiscipline professional services firm with specialized expertise in structural, coastal, and civil engineering; environmental sciences; economics analysis; inspection and rehabilitation; and program management solutions. Duties and responsibilities: Transform initial rough designs and mark-ups into finished working documents.Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations such ports, terminals and other waterfront infrastructure including (but not limited to), marinas, wharfs, bulkhead walls, coastal protection structures (beaches, revetments, breakwaters and jetties) and coastal restoration projects (marsh creation, dredging projects etc.)Review engineering drawings to ensure adherence to established standardsCompute volumes of excavations and fill for dredging and earthmoving projectsAssist designers and senior technicians with preparation of engineering drawing packages Other duties: Please note this job posting is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
