The brand is sold globally in over 75 countries with approximately 2,000 points of sale.Your role at Tumi: The Store Design Associate plays a vital role in the design and development of TUMI retail spaces, ensuring that our stores reflect the premium TUMI brand and provides an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. You will collaborate with the TUMI design team to create innovative and aesthetically pleasing store layouts, fixtures, and displays.Responsibilities: - Collaborate with senior designers to develop and execute store design concepts for TUMI retail locations including full price retail stores, outlet stores, and shop in shop formats.
- Contribute to the design and development of custom fixtures and displays that showcase TUMI products and enhance the shopping experience. - Assist in selecting materials, finishes and color schemes that align with TUMI's brand identity and create a cohesive and luxurious in-store environment. - Create 3D renderings and visualizations to communicate design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders. - Independently coordinate with members of NA and global partners to ensure the TUMI design standards are maintained in all aspects and on schedule.
- Revise and redline construction drawings and shop drawings as needed. - Implement preliminary design schematics, review, and coordinate with NA and Global TUMI teams. - Assist with various space planning updating floor plans, signage and mill work installations. - Provide operational support to the team responsible for store openings in North America (NA) and globally, with a strong focus on the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
- Collaborate with teams across different time zones, necessitating flexibility in work hours.We're excited if you have: - Minimum 1+ years' experience in retail store design - Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design - Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop, - The ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and tasks efficiently. - Exceptional attention to detail to ensure successful store openings and seamless operations. - Exceptional organizational and project management skills. - Willingness and ability to travel as needed.Why you'll love working here: At TUMI, you'll find a dynamic working environment, joining a community where each team member is empowered with an entrepreneurial spirit.
