**Position Summary**:
As part of the overall ESG-Sustainability strategy, we are looking for a Forest Carbon Specialist based in Panama City, Panama.

Reporting directly to the Sustainable Sourcing Leader, you will manage operational aspects of partnerships for forest project implementation.
Your main responsibility will be to use technical carbon expertise and forest project management experience for project management support, technical review, development of guidance, and corporate carbon reporting.

**A day in the life of a Forest Carbon Specialist**:

- Provide oversight of a portfolio of projects, including serving as an advisor on implementation, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain alignment to evolving project guidance
- Provide 'eyes on the ground' to project implementation
- Ensure on-time and accurate delivery of project progress reporting
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for project insights to deliver on internal stakeholder information requests
- Support global partnerships with carbon and forest related organizations
- Gather and generate the content brands/markets/businesses can use in communications
- Lead engagement with internal stakeholders on technical guidance to support deployment of climate roadmap interventions
- Generate and regularly update technical guidance documents on project monitoring, reporting, and verification
- Represent forest pillar projects internally and represent Nestle Group in external forums

**What will make you successful**:

- More than 3 years of experience in reforestation, restoration, and/or agroforestry implementation projects
- Experience in project management: budget, impact management, reporting, stakeholder management in fast-paced multi-national environment
- Overall knowledge in agriculture and sustainability (UN Development Goals, AFOLU carbon standards, SBTi and GHG Protocol guidance )
- Strong leadership under operational pressure, ability to operate well independently, strong organizational skills.
- Courage and emotional intelligence for on the ground exemplary excellence in climate change
- Comfortable in a field environment and available for regional travel as requested
- GIS (geographic information system) Skills and experience with ESRI, GFW Pro, or other mapping platforms a plus
- Fluency in English and Spanish
