Job Description This is a remote position. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Android Mobile Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android app development, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating user-friendly mobile experiences. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications for various client projects Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other developers to define, design, and launch new features Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to application development Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and improve application functionality Maintain code integrity, organization, and version control using Git or similar tools Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high-quality development standards Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project success Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience in Android app development using Java and/or Kotlin Strong understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Google's Material Design Guidelines Proficiency in using Android Jetpack components, such as LiveData, ViewModel, and Room Experience with third-party libraries and APIs, such as Retrofit, Glide, and Dagger Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect applications to back-end services Knowledge of performance optimization, caching, and other best practices Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and a keen eye for detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Nice-to-Haves: Portfolio showcasing previously developed Android applications Experience with app submission, distribution, and management through Google Play Store Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes Knowledge of additional programming languages or platforms, such as iOS or React Native Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement Collaborative and supportive work environment Flexible work hours and remote work options Access to cutting-edge tools and technologies Teams are based in Panama and Colombia but this is a 'work-from-home' position You will work remotely with the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Latin America Requirements General Panamanian or Colombian citizen, or resident with a work permit Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role Degree in Computer Science or relevant field is a plus English knowledge is a plus Excellent communication and teamwork skills Great attention to detail Organizational skills An analytical mind
