Financial Accountant

**Purpose of the Job**

In charge of accounting for a specific area/ domain - Can operate in autonomy within defined frame and processes

Reports Hierarchically to : Accountant Manager

**Network & Links**:
Internal: Finance community, Internal Auditors, Project Team

External: Statutory Auditors, Banks

**Mission**

**Objective**:

- Preparation and booking of accounting and Accounts payable entries
- Monthly reconciliation of major balance sheet accounts
- Accurate and timely reporting of all Teranga packs

**Measurement**:

- Primarily adherence to the ALSTOM monthly financial reporting timetable.
- Achievement of specific deliverables/Finance KPIs

**Responsibilities**
- Validate accounting documents and monitor all accounting operations
- Monthly reconciliation of main P&L and BS accounts
- Carry out analysis on request and make recommendations
- Ensure a good coordination of information transmission in order to maintain an adequate accounts management
- Overhead related accruals management and posting
- Coordination of inter-company invoices/recharges (ICS)
- Coordination/validation of bank reconciliation, payment processing (suppliers and expenses), payroll control and posting
- Depreciation journal, calculation of NBV, monitoring of fully depreciated assets
- Insurance allocations
- Payroll posting and monitoring, payroll control analysis/review with Payroll department
- POH/NPOH fees
- Internal or external Audit files
- Tax pack reporting (Monthly and annual tax declarations ITBMS, Income tax return, informe de compras )

**Educational Requirements**
- Accounting Student or CPA Certificated Public Accounting

**Technical Knowledge / Experience**
- 3 years of experience of financial accounting, preferably in a large multinational company
- Good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and SAP
- Ability to use integrated financial systems

**Core Skills**
- Good analytical skills

- Good communication skills and a team player
