**Your role and responsibilities**:
We seek a multidisciplinary Tender Engineer to prepare proposals for different solutions, including SCADA, Shore Power, Fiber Optic, E houses, EV Charging, and Design & Built electrical projects. The Tender Engineer follows a predefined process flow in which he or she prepares, together with his team members, winning tenders with a correct balance between risk and rewards. Typical tender periods are 4-8 weeks. During tenders, the Planning, Project Engineering, Project Management, Commissioning, Production, Procurement, Logistics, Contract Management, Insurance, HSE, Quality, and Finance departments are involved. The Tender Engineer is the spin in this process and coordinates with all of them. Excellent proactive communication, overviewing the process, and looking into the technical details are a must. Key Responsibilities 1. Reading the customer specifications and supporting the Commercial Manager in value add and go-to-market strategy. 2. Translate the specifications into a design, which typically includes preparing Block diagrams, Single-Line Diagrams, and Substation Layout Drawings. Coordinate and validate with the Tender Lead Engineer. 3. Make a Bill of Materials. 4. Get pricing from factories and third parties in close collaboration with the Procurement & Logistics department. 5. Prepare a solution schedule for execution in close collaboration with the Project Management, Production, and Planning Department. 6. Costing Preparation: 1. Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analyses to identify potential areas for savings and optimization without compromising the project's quality or technical requirements. 2. Cost Accuracy: This person is responsible for accurately costing the designed solution, including internal (ABB factories) and external (different suppliers) costs. 3. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all project-related costs, including changes and variations during the bidding process. 7. Review the safety aspects of the execution and, together with the HSE department, prepare initial safety plans. 8. Review the Quality aspects of the execution and, together with the QAQC department, prepare the initial document list and Quality assurance documentation. 9. Prepares internal approval process and coordinates with Contract Management, Finance, and Insurance support departments.
**Qualifications for the role**:
- Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering Degree with 4-7 years experience.
- A robust electrical background is a must. Solid understanding of Medium and Low Voltage networks.
- Experience with SCADA and substation design is a plus.
- Proven results in translating specifications into designs.
- Do-it-yourself drive concerning design—Capable of making own designs, which are later reviewed by others.
- Can work with very tight deadlines. Weekend - Evening work is not uncommon during specific cycles in the tender period.
- Excellent communicator to interact within the organization.
- Think out of the box is your second nature.
- Willing to travel 30% of the time
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Technical English, written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
