The Therapeutical Area Head (TAH), Immunology & Oncology is a cross portfolio role, responsible for co-creating and driving an overarching medical strategy across CANDEAN countries (Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela) with the goal of improving patient outcomes and customer experience.
In collaboration with other functional areas, the TAH Immunology & Oncology will develop a deep understanding of health systems, payers, and other key influencers in CANDEAN countries. Strategically engages with key stakeholders within health care systems to drive and unlock innovation and create new opportunities and partnerships that drive strategic imperatives.
The TAH Immunology & Oncology will identify opportunities to advance the care continuum and the delivery of healthcare through broad clinical and population health research opportunities that include Real World Evidence (RWE) and Precision Medicine. The TAH Immunology & Oncology will have aaccountability with key customers in the ecosystem and will be responsible for the strategic approach of the Medical Field associates to gain alignment and ensure execution.
The TAH Immunology & Oncology will work in close partnership with his or her commercial counterparts: Value Access & Commercial / Strategic Marketing, to ensure shared accountability across CANDEAN countries, being fully accountable for delivering on the medical aspects of the business and the overarching customer experience.
The TAH is also responsible for leading change management, supporting people development, and identifying enhanced competency opportunities for his or her team.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Successfully translates the global therapeutical area strategy, content and solutions into local strategic plans and measures.
- Provide inspiring and strategic leadership to the medical team to ensure it has role clarity, strategic clarity and a collaborative working model to incorporate and synthesize internal and external insights.
- Lead the development of cross-functional disease area strategies for prioritized disease areas to identify current and future areas of unmet need and identify prioritized cross-functional opportunities.
- Drive execution of brand launch plans through cross-functional agile teams.
- Oversee and guide the commercialization plan process to inform local strategies and decisions; oversee the Evidence Gaps Working Group to evaluate and track progress against evidence gaps.
- Work with internal and external partners to ensure high priority evidence gaps are addressed, to strategically generate evidence for medical value communications, leading to improved coverage and treatment adoption.
- Execute efforts to ensure strong customer and external relationships to inform portfolio recommendations and to allow the business to thrive.
- Play a leadership role on behalf of the medical team in the annual strategic planning and portfolio review process.

**Minimum requirements**
- University degree in life science is mandatory, physician (MD) is desirable; Masters, Doctoral or Post-Doctoral diploma in life science is highly desirable, in areas related with Immunology and/or Oncology
- Fluent in English & Spanish
- 5+ years of multidisciplinary work experience in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries, of which 3+ years include leading and managing teams
- Training/experience in Epidemiology, RWD, Clinical Pharmacology and/or Administration is preferable
- In depth experience with customer/marketplace management, key dynamics and current knowledge of key competitors and their likely strategies within the therapeutic area
- Able to work in agile and flexible environments, partnering across functions
- Strategic Mindset that balances the short and the long-term strategy
- Skill in managing complex teams and influencing strategy and direction through interaction with other decision makers in a highly matrixed environment
