As a member of the laboratory team at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV), you’ll support a 275+ bed Level I trauma and comprehensive stroke center. This role will do automated, semi-automated, and manual testing in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.You’ll work with state-of-the-art automated testing equipment and support quality control measures, troubleshoot instrumentation, and verify results on front-end processing equipment.Benefits start on day one of employment and include comprehensive health coverage (including fertility, IVF, and adoption support), generous PTO, 5% retirement contribution, and more Geisinger supports your continued education and certification. Education Qualification and Details Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist: Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university AND successful completion of an ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology program OR; Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP categorical certification OR; Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND at least two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory HEWMedical Lab Technician: Associate degree in a laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Military experience will be considered. US Army 68K Medical Laboratory Specialist, US Navy Medical Laboratory Technician, US Air Force Medical Laboratory Apprentice.
