**Project**
A commissioning crew for a FNLG vessel working offshore in Western Africa.
**Job Summary**
The E&I Foreman will lead the electrical and instrumentation commissioning team on the FLNG vessel. They will supervise the E&I Technicians and coordinate with other commissioning teams to ensure the successful execution of activities.
**Responsibilities
**Team Leadership**:
- Supervise and lead a team of E&I Technicians, providing guidance, direction, and support.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on skill sets and workload.
- Monitor and manage work progress to ensure timely and effective completion of tasks. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
**Project Coordination**:
- Coordinate E&I projects, including installations, maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades.
- Plan and allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and operational needs. Collaborate with other departments, engineers, and management to ensure seamless project execution.
**Technical Expertise**:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems to assist with complex troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, sharing best practices and industry standards. Review technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate work.
**Safety and Compliance**:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
- Promote a strong safety culture, conduct safety meetings, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and company policies.
**Maintenance Planning**:
- Collaborate with maintenance planners and engineers to develop maintenance schedules and strategies. Prioritize and schedule routine maintenance tasks, calibrations, and inspections to minimize downtime.
**Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications. Generate regular reports on maintenance performance, project status, and resource utilization.
**Training and Development**:
- Identify training needs within the team and facilitate skill development and training programs. Conduct on-the-job training and provide opportunities for career advancement.
**Budget Management**:
- Assist in budget planning and resource allocation for E&I projects and maintenance activities. Monitor expenditures and control costs within approved budgets.
**Qualifications**
- Diploma or degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in commissioning and maintenance of E&I systems, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
**Essential Requirements**
- Previous offshore experience
- Experience working on a project (commissioning/construction/hookup)
- Need to be comfortable working offshore for 2-3 months
- Valid Passport
- Possess the following certifications: BOSIET/FOET, OGUK Medical, Yellow Fever card, Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
