**This position reports to**:
Senior Project Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Have daily meetings at the beginning and end of the day to verify the progress of tasks (reports).
- Verify the status of the fiber optic installation on site.
- Ensure that all HSE measures and discrepancies that exist on site are complied with.
- Empowering the management team to grasp obligations, liability and how to fulfil their roles according to HSE law and ABB Group policy, instructions and standards.
- Creating and maintain an exemplary health and safety culture, as well as a strong focus on environment throughout the business.
- Engaging stakeholders to raise awareness of and win commitment to ABB Group sustainability objectives, and reporting on performance and progress.
- Reporting and investigating HSE incidents, gathering feedback and communicating lessons learned and best practices.
- Ensuring that the appropriate HSE equipment and tools are available and used, planning training for colleagues, and ensuring compliance with the Group management system.
- Planning and executing HSE, sustainability and corporate responsibility projects, managing resources and reporting on objectives and progress.
- Facilitating HSE risk assessments, ensuring all processes and corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensuring the site is audited according to the Group Assurance & Audit Program.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor´s degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, specializing in power systems. Master's degree in a field related to Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering (desirable).
- More than 8 years of experience in site engineer positions, seeing HSE activities.
- Knowledge of HSE compliance in Safety and related.
- Driver's license.
- Certification in ISO HSE standards.
- The ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Advanced English (fluent).
- French at an advanced level (fluent).
- Arabic at an advanced level (fluent).
