Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office Director

**Overview**
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Director, Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean. This is a key leadership role that requires expertise in population and development, as well as strong management and leadership skills.
**Job Description**
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Regional Office, ensuring alignment with UNFPA's overall goals and objectives;
- Develop and implement regional strategies to support country programs and initiatives;
- Oversee program oversight and results management, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of regional and country programs;
- Assume operational leadership and resource management responsibilities, including budgeting and financial management;
- Represent UNFPA at regional and international levels, advocating for population and development issues and promoting UNFPA's mission and goals.
Requirements and Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A master's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as public health, sociology, demography, or international relations;
- At least 15 years of experience in public administration and international development, with a focus on population and development;
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in team management and capacity building;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
- Fluency in English and Spanish, with knowledge of French and/or Portuguese an asset.
