Insignia Resources is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join their team. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, completing monthly tasks, and meeting financial deadlines. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial activity and maintain accurate records
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Complete monthly projects and checklists
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements (PLs)
  • Provide general ledgers (GLs) upon request from other teams

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with internal departments to address any issues that arise
  • Proactively inform management of concerns or barriers to achieving objectives
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports for management and clients

Annual Budget Development:

  • Work with senior/supervisor to develop projected annual revenue, expenses, and staffing budgets for clients
  • Update budgets as necessary throughout the year
  • Review the final budget and seek confirmation from management

Resource and Training:

  • Participate in the training of new employees
  • Provide recommendations to supervisors for workflow improvements
  • Compile data for external audits, reviews, and tax filings
  • Review bank statements and related documents

Requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or be actively pursuing one
  • Have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP compliance
  • Demonstrate basic accounting knowledge and a willingness to expand upon it
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Capable of working independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Quick learner, able to adapt to new systems and policies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Onsite availability at our Tower Bank Building office in Panama City
