**Job Title**: Accountant Location: Panama Type of Contract: Full-Time Salary: USD $1,** Language Requirements: English proficiency required (spoken, written, reading) We are seeking a skilled Accountant with strong experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance to join our team.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly and annual close processes, and ensuring adherence to local and international accounting standards.
Your work will directly impact the companys financial accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Record and review daily accounting transactions within the companys financial systems.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory control.
Execute monthly and annual accounting close processes.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory obligations (Etax, Electronic Invoice).
Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date accounting records.
Calculate sales commissions, payroll, SIPE, and PL03.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Purchasing) to validate accounting data.
Prepare financial reports for management and headquarters as needed.
Must-Have Qualifications Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
Strong knowledge of local accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
Experience in reconciliations, accounting closings, and financial reporting.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
Experience with accounting or payroll software (Odoo or similar).
Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Proficient English communication skills (spoken, written, and reading).
Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in companies with international operations or reporting in English.
