Junior Buyer

Position SummaryWe are currently looking for a highly competent Junior Buyer based in Panama, responsible for managing commercial and sourcing activities within Technical categories used by Nestl worldwide. Reporting directly to the Global Category Manager, your main responsibility will be to support the implementation of the category strategy on a regional & global level as required - utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies. Procurement at Nestl: As strategic partner of the business, we help the company achieving sustainable growth and we ensure responsibly sourced supply and value creation. Located in hubs in Switzerland, Panama and Malaysia, our division provides a range of services, including the management of procurement for specific raw materials, packaging, indirect materials and other services.

We also support markets with managing local spend. For you, this will be the opportunity to become a real strategic partner delivering sustainable value and working with the business, for the business. A day in the life of Junior Buyer - Technical Help Preparing and executing negotiation events - seeking best TCO contracts and beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers as approved by the Category Manager. Contributing to the global sourcing strategy with regional inputs by implementing the communication and supplier management plan.

Assisting in contracts negotiation, ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers are in line with the strategy. Ensuring compliance with Nestl's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards. Managing innovation with suppliers and/or integrating their innovation into our organization.What will make you successful University degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance or Information Technology. A minimum of 3 years experience within Procurement (ideally within Indirect Procurement).

Demonstrated success in delivering competitive advantage to the business through development and implementation of sourcing strategies for different Technical categories. High learning speed and agility to navigate in ambiguity. Demonstrated success in risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relationship management. Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with individuals across a complex organization.
