Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
- Responsible of commercial finance for all channels (Wholesale, Own Retail, Franchise, and e-Com) in LAM mainly focusing on driving the long-term strategy and decision-making process to secure a good profitability and sustainable growth.
Be the key business partners of all LAM Commercial VPs and global channel leaders, working closely with the LAM Finance Sr Director and providing key information to the Finance VP and guide 7 countries FP&A teams for all commercial planning and performance.
Manage a direct team of 4-5 people and guide and influence the key FP&A teams of current 7 Countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead planning and execution of annual budget and monthly forecast process giving guidance, clear assumptions, and methodology to the countries for the channels to provide a comprehensive LAM plan to senior leadership within global and regional.
- Owns month end closing process and other formal submissions in time and in full for the channels/countries to comply with global timelines and requirements and ensure complete and accurate information. Support global interaction with different stakeholders.
- Generate monthly LAM business reviews, quality presentations and management visits with detailed explanation and analysis of country / channel evolution - Deep understanding of country´s actual numbers, development and KPIs evolution to provide insights and transparency to the FP&A Sr. Director LAM, senior leadership and global.
- Align and partner with commercial channels at LAM level to support them in the design of the strategy providing financial support and knowledge of the business and ensuring that the countries´ plans are aligned with the strategy. Provide input to the (SBP) process and bi-annual commercial update.
- Lead specific projects in collaboration with other functional ad multi-functional areas to improve Operating Margin and Financial KPIs with focus on efficiency, cost savings and additional business opportunities in terms of pricing/discounts, margin, channel mix.
- Develop regional commercial controllers to provide true business partnering to commercial channels. Generate recommendations and provide options to business partners on respective level for strategic invest /divest approach / constantly challenging to drive growth and profitability. Own capability building for country commercial controllers.
- Lead and provide relevant and accurate business insights (CAPEX, ROP, TT, BOH and other reports and KPIs) to ensure fact-based decision for the business priorities, R&O and overall performance including post-mortem on outcomes.
- Drive Channel standardization of processes and reports through LAM in alignment with global to ensure one version of the truth, comply with global policies (GFM), IFRS and processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to manage multiple and urgent, short
- and long-term priorities and stakeholders.
- High capacity of prioritizing tasks and focus on big ticket items.
- Ability to interact with different geographies and teams (country, region, global) and different levels of seniority.
- Able to manage different sets of information (daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annually, annual, 3-5 years plans).
- Specialist in business or technical skills with detailed knowledge in finance and systems (Excel, power point, SAP).
- Broad & deep knowledge in different functional areas within finance, combining theoretical and practical knowledge (P&L, accounting, treasury).
- Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- 10-12 years
- As manager of Experts 3 - 5 years management experience required
- As manager of Admin / Tech Support minimum of 5 years management experience required
