**Description**:
**Role Overview**:The Air Freight Control Tower Analyst is accountable for the review and validation of all AFA requests submitted through various Supply Chain functions including Materials Management, Global Deployment and Global Brand Supply Chain. The Analyst will validate the request to ensure Service, Cost, and Inventory goals are met. The Analyst has two process measures to consider while validating AFA requests. The first is ensure that the request is processed timely (within 48 hours of initiation) and will need to follow up with approvers as needed. The second is to confirm that consumption of the air freight will occur within the next 30-60 days to justify air decision. This role will report directly into the Global Air Control Tower Lead. The incumbent will require proficiency in multi-functional Supply Planning disciplines such as Materials Management, Short Range Planning, and Global Deployment Planning to efficiently evaluate and process AFA requests.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform thorough reviews of Air Freight Authorization (AFA) requests to validate against the following factors. Inventory level vs. requirements, Finished Goods inventory position, and validate there are no other component/raw dependencies that would impact the decision on approving air freight. Attach all supporting documentation so a record of the background for all requests is available. (50%)
- The analyst is accountable for the timely processing of AFA requests (48 hours creation to disposition). They will follow up with the appropriate departments(s) to ensure timely review and approval. Departments include: Materials Management, Short Range Planning, Global Deployment Planning, and Global Brand Supply Chain (30%).
- The analyst will work closely with the Air Freight Control Tower Specialist to validate that approved air freight is consumed within 30-60 days of receipt. This review is critical to continuous improvement and efficiency (10%).
- For approved component/raw material air freight requests, confirm payee (Estee Lauder vs. Supplier) to ensure proper cost control and liability (10%).

**Qualifications**:

- 1-3 years of experience
- APICS preferred
- Planning and/or Transportation experience preferred
- Analytics experience a plus
- Working knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint), related databases and ERP Systems (SAP ECC/APO).
- Power BI Experience is preferred.
- Strong Organizational skills - Ability to successfully manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously.
- Problem solving and attention to detail a must
- Strong communication skills as they will operate in a global environment and with numerous teams.
- Strong learning agility, at ease learning new capabilities.
