**Quality Assistant**

**SUMMARY**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.**
- Carry out quality assurance activities and assignments, such as: control charts, interlaboratorios, checks, duplicates, calibrations, among others.
- Preparation of reagents, standards and solutions for use in the laboratory.
- Maintenance and improvement of the management system Identification of deviations from the management system or the procedures for carrying out laboratory activities.
- Coordination and review of Interlaboratory Test Data.
- Change Management Process - MOC
- Coordinate and carry out the evaluation of tests - Test Methods Evaluation
- Follow-up of Corrective and Preventive Actions
- Follow-up of non-conforming work and service activities.
- Maintenance of documentation related to the disposal of retained samples.
- Maintenance and updating of training books - Training Review and notification of updates to test methods Review of the Global Standard List
- Supplier evaluation
- Record and document control
- Preventive maintenance and verification
- Verify and validate methods.
- Responsible for supervising, scheduling and coordinating internal and external maintenance, verifications and calibrations.
- Supervision, inventory and quotations of supplies.
- Verification and registration of test methods.
- Supervision of measurement traceability

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**

Keep the efficiency of laboratory operations. Maintain applicable laboratory safety programs and good laboratory practices regarding maintenance and cleaning. Understand and meet all requirements of the company's Quality System. Monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the QMS.

**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE**
- Student or bachelor’s in chemistry / industrial chemical technology or related sciences preferably.
- Initial Safety Training, ISO/IEC 17025/ ISO/IEC 17065 Requirements, Manuals 1 & 5 Quality Manual, AOIL Lab Procedure, Root Cause Analysis, Risk and Opportunity Assessment Ensuring the validity of results.

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructional and technical materials and applicable government regulations relating to procedures and safety. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

**MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and quantities (linear, volumetric, or weight) and to read and interpolate applicable data and tables. Able to draw and interpret applicable graphs and control charts.

**COMPUTER SKILLS**
Must have intermediate-advanced level experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

**REASONING ABILITY**
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formats.

**OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
Must have good organizational skills and familiarity with basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
