Underwriting Analyst

World Business Lenders (WBL) provides general purpose short-term real estate collateralized commercial loans to a broad customer base comprised of small and medium sized businesses throughout the United States that lack access to traditional funding.

**About the Job**

**Essential Functions**
- Prepare credit analysis to determine suitability to support a credit recommendation
- Analyze business bank statements, financial statements, tax returns and cash flow statements to conduct investment analyses
- Develop financial models to support analysis of loan level and portfolio performance
- Prepare underwriting forms (Excel) and Loan Approval forms for review and approval, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all data
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 100% fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills
- **Experience working as a Credit Analyst in a Mortgage/Lending environment preferred**:

- ** Experience working in Asset Resolution department with understanding of Real Estate Assets Valuation strongly preferred**:

- Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering/Sciences majors) desirable
- 1-5 years’ work experience in an analytical/quantitative role
- Experience working as a Credit Analyst in a Mortgage/Lending environment preferred
- Experience working in Asset Resolution department strongly preferred
- Strong ability to work independently
- Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) - in particular, strong Excel skills - required
- Must own a computer (desktop/laptop, PC or Mac is acceptable)
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
