What the role isSelina’s Global Preopening Operations department is a hyper-growth, project management team accountable for building and managing an accelerated opening process to drive operational, sales, marketing, revenue management, brand experience, financial achievement and training excellence. The department manages various workflows across Global, Region, Country and Property level teams to drive quality and consistency of our new Selina products which focus on local activation programming and operational expertise.What you will be doingMaintain the most up to date Pre-Opening Checklist in collaboration with all other discipline leadersFacilitate seven regularly scheduled checkpoint calls and include Global Stakeholders to contributeSuccessfully pre-sell hotels and ensure quality reservations on the books before openingCreate continent based processes as needed, and implement and sustain themCreate and track budgeted projections for both pre-opening and post-opening operationsEnsure all permitting and insurance compliance per propertyApprove menus, activation programming calendars, sales and marketing strategies, pricing strategies, headcounts and operations manuals for new locationsCreate and coordinate JV’s and non-core products business planEnsure community engagement takes place for each opening during the development processCoordinate the hosting of Selina’s pre-opening eventsSet projects up for hotel operations successTrain Regional Teams and GM’s on Selina processes as well as hotel leadership best practicesCoordinate all training resources per opening, as well as the execution of the training calendar and training materials facilitatedContribute to and at times facilitate training managers and employees at locationsManage Handover to operations and create punch list and timeline for completionsPerform final quality assurance checklists alongside Development and Country teamsComplete final turnover to Country Operations team with product, permit, operations and training feedback upon departureCreate white book for new locations of all product and operations manuals and proceduresEnsure that every new Selina is being created as a destination, not just a buildingWhat you need for the roleAn excellent track record of commercial and results delivery throughout their careerAt least 6 to 8 years’ experience in multi-site operations or occupying a senior regional management roleExperience of taking a business through a phase of growth/expansion Smart and strategic, but a real operator who is happy to be hands-on and get into the details and lead from the frontBe entirely at ease operating in an autonomous environment and have a sense of urgency, high energy levels and thrive with low supportA leader with exceptional people development skills - the ability to inspire and engage large teams but also encourage a culture of learning, training and supportA structured individual who can bring process and discipline to the operating model - creating a framework that does not stifle creativity or entrepreneurial flairHighly numerate with the ability to use data to make informed decisionsEnglish fluent and Spanish a mustStrong management and negotiation skillsThe ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate impactExperience working in multicultural environments (preferred)Ability and flexibility to travel at least 50% of the timeLow and High Skill Wellness DeliveryStaff who are wellness-focused and have a passion themselves (or hold a qualification) can deliver a wellness activity in the location for our Luna Loyalty Program.
