AECOM Panama is looking for high caliber structural engineer, to join our project team to lead the tunneling component on a key project in Panama.

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead the structural design of tunnel structures and other complex underground structures

+ Coordinate the development of permanent works for various tunneling projects ranging from TBM, cut and covers, immersed tunnels, jacked boxes etc.

+ Participate in the development of technical proposals and value engineering initiatives with the Client

+ Participate in the project and technical management of projects

+ Supervise teams of multi-disciplined engineers ensuring that the prepared technical solutions are sound meeting AECOM’s quality standards

+ Review of design submission and technical reports

+ Work collaboratively with the Client ensuring the designs are completed within agreed deadline and within agreed budget

+ Perform Project Management Duties as part of the PM team

Minimum Requirements

+ University Degree in Structural engineering or related discipline

+ Proven design \\ management experience delivering to quality, time and budget

+ Previous exposure with Clients of both private and public sectors, including major contractors

+ Experience in BIM (Revit) is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

+ Demonstrate design management experience working on infrastructure structures projects

+ Lead a term to complete designs in a timely manner

+ Possess experience in dealing with Approval Authorities

+ Undertake and manage Structures / Ground engineering schemes from feasibility through to detailed design

+ Be a client liaison involved in the production of tenders, including quality documentation and costings

+ Knowledgeable in the use of structural software such as SAP 2000 and ROBOT

+ Be creative and understand the client drivers
