We’re looking to recruit a Secondary Science/IB Biology Teacher to join our Metropolitan School of Panama school, a Nord Anglia Education school.
**THE SCHOOL**
The MET opened its doors in August 2011 and has since, become one of Panama’s leading international schools, offering classes to students from Early Childhood through 12th grade. The MET celebrated its first graduating class in May 2016.
Originally located within the City of Knowledge in the Panama City suburb of Clayton; in the Fall of 2020, the MET opened a new purpose-built facility of over 5.5 hectares in Green Valley, Panama. Implementing state-of-the-art technology, the new facilities will allow the MET to continue teaching an innovative curriculum in world-class facilities.
In 2017, the school joined Nord Anglia Education (NAE), the world’s leading premium school organization, uniting with 80 other premium schools in 32 countries around the world. **THE ROLE**
The Metropolitan School of Panama is seeking an experienced full-time teacher to work with our students in 9, 10, 11, and 12 grades. The Science/IB DP Biology Teacher builds and maintains a successful IB Diploma Programme within the school by providing an educational atmosphere conductive to learning and developing through the process of inquiry.

You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Panama including holding a bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education.

**OUR GLOBAL ACADEMIC RESULTS**
The 2020-2021 school year was the strongest ever in terms of Nord Anglia Education’s academic results. For the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, our students achieved a 36.2 global point average and a 98% pass rate, with over 20 students earning a perfect score of 45.
