Treasury Business Partner Americas

The Treasury Business Partner Americas reports to the Head of Treasury LATAM and has dotted reporting line to Head of Treasury NAM. Group Treasury has established four regional treasury hubs for GRC/APAC, ISC/META/IL, LATAM and NAM.

The Treasury Business Partner Americas has shared responsibilities for LATAM and NAM. The role shall support the Heads of Treasury LATAM and NAM in providing business insights and local market expertise to central Treasury teams: Front Office, Middle Office and Center of Excellence, actively coordinate and work closely with them. Treasury BP Americas shall act as back-up to the Heads of Treasury LATAM and NAM in their responsibility to act as first point of contact on treasury matters for finance community of LATAM and NAM, proactively understand key stakeholders' needs/requirements and manage their expectations, identify the areas to be worked/improved, develop joint strategies, ensure a timely delivery on the aligned treasury services. Main treasury services include (but not limited to): financial planning, trade finance, cash management, fx risk management, bank relationship management, bank account management (including KYC, bank charges), etc.

Treasury BP Americas shall ensure to deliver best in class treasury operations (e.g., in-house bank, payment processes), and to solidly execute in accordance with operating control framework in compliance with Philips Business System, Treasury Financial Risk Policy, and SOX/internal control standards.

Your role:

  • Collaborate to deliver on the vision and business goals of Group Treasury, help design new strategic initiatives for regional treasury hubs in LATAM and NAM.
  • Support execution of treasury service offering in LATAM and NAM (mainly: financial planning, trade finance, liquidity & cash management, foreign exchange risk management, bank relationship management, bank account management, divestments/integration, etc.) and ensure swift execution with high quality, compliance with Philips Business System, Treasury Financial Risk Policy, SOX/internal control standards and local rules/regulations.
  • Create solid relationships between regional Treasury hubs in LATAM and NAM and finance professionals in those markets (e.g., Heads of Finance, Finance Business Partners, etc.), act as back-up for first-line subject matter expert for Treasury service offerings to regional finance professionals and ensure high levels of satisfaction, quality and trust.
  • In consultation with the Heads of Treasury LATAM and NAM, review quality and effectiveness of executed treasury service offerings, identify and implement improvements.
  • Support Heads of Treasury LATAM and NAM to provide necessary treasury-related information and documents required by local authorities (tax agencies, Central Banks, local rating agencies, customs authorities, etc.) and external auditors.
  • Corporate Treasury has decided to combine 2 different regions (LATAM + NAM) into a position located in Panama. In that case a CG50 based in Panama and a CG70 based in USA, will be replaced to a CG60 based in Panama, with that we can deliver approx. 60% of cost saving. Important to mention that considering the new challenges in both regions it will be necessary to have a Senior person to be able to take decisions and corrective actions.

You're the right fit if:

  • Bachelorâs degree in business administration, Economy, Accounting or relevant background.
  • 7+ years of working experience in finance area, such as Treasury, FP&A, Reporting, Accounts payable, receivables or any related area.
  • Demonstrated experience in various aspects of the end-to-end process implementation, project management, internal and external audits, and local regulation requirements.
  • Ability to influence and work in collaboration with other stakeholders in a complex scenario that requires clear and straightforward communication (Stakeholder management)
  • Demonstrated experience on reporting preparation for decision making.
  • Bank relationship skills are fundamental to lead day-to-day work, with banks.
  • Eager to improve and take ownership with enthusiasm for the role that inspires others.
  • A focused and persistent individual who is determined to overcome obstacles and pursue working goals.
  • A self-starter who is willing to take the initiative to learn new skills that will be useful for the role or the organization overall.
  • Be open to change and be flexible to work on volatility environment, hands on and has a clear sense of urgency. (working with different location, time-zone, and culture)
  • Act with ethical, be aligned with compliance rules and follow company and country regulatory policies is mandatory, without any flexibility.
