Job Description


AECOM Panama has an exciting opening for a Program Manager to lead our AECOM Team and support an iconic phase I bioenergy project with a goal of producing advanced biofuels and green hydrogen.

Responsibilities for the position include, but may not be limited to, the following:
Manage complex project that is large in scope and dollar.

Coordinate day-to-day aspects of the project including quality of work product, client communications, scheduling, and utilizing technical staff to service projects to ensure project completion.

Manage development and delivery of technical reports.
Deliver effective client presentations and response to questions and inquiries from industry professionals in an accurate and timely manner.
Performs various management, leadership, people accountability and quality responsibilities for the program technical team including subcontractor deliverables
Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating technical assignments
Multi-discipline knowledge of engineering and construction; importantly; underground electrical distribution systems and associated civil and electrical engineering work packages
Ability to define scope and selection, research, specify, and recommend equipment to reduce time and costs for designing and constructing underground electricity distribution systems
Manages program technical team delivery including remote and subcontract staff
Facilitates design reviews with internal and external clients
Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts
Presents complex technical solutions to clients
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others
Provides estimates for the engineering task, budget and schedule

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:


BA/BS in Engineering, Construction or closely related field with 8 years of relevant experience within the bioenergy or energy efficiency or building efficiency industry or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

A general knowledge of the financial, technical and political aspects driving both the energy efficiency, distributed energy resources, smart energy and utility industries and energy infrastructure development (Utility energy efficiency programs, energy planning, building optimization, data analytics, renewables and, energy conservation measures)
Familiarity with energy efficiency, bioenergy, renewable energy, and decarbonization programs.
"Fluent English - written and spoken

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing a team of engineers for delivering quality products within scope and budget
P.E., M.B.A., C.E.M., or LEED AP certification (or on track to receive) is desirable.
Strong presentation skills, including presentation material design (PowerPoint)
Strong writing skills and ability to communicate complex processes or ideas simplistically
Strong communication skills (written and oral)
Familiarity with bioenergy, renewable energy, and decarbonization programs.
