The Digital Services group at FLSmidth is focused on brining value and best in class solutions to our customers.

As global mining companies push digital initiatives to stay competitive, we are well positioned to provide these services, with the Advanced Process Control team as the anchor for this group you will be a key contributor in services and solutions in optimization and digitalization for the Mineral Processing industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Consult on process optimization of Mineral Processing Concentrators.
  • Execute the development and implementation of Advanced Process Control strategies.
  • Lead the planning, configuration, and troubleshooting of specialized systems and sensor packages for individual projects.
  • Work with clients to successfully integrate systems, strategies, and sensors into operational cultures.
  • Support multiple clients existing APC systems, strategies, and sensors to maintain usage and benefits over time.
  • Leverage successes into expanded Digital Services and product sales.
  • Responsible for applied quality of the use of specialized systems and sensor packages for individual projects.
  • Work on customization, product improvement, and efforts to expand the product line.
  • Travel to work locations and regional offices, as necessary, in support of sales, commissioning, and support activities. Up to 50% regional and international travel.
  • Participate actively in the team environment and contribute to the successful realization of health, safety, and environmental objectives.
What you bring

  • Five years of prior experience in Process Control, Metallurgy, and/or Process Optimization in Mineral Processing Concentrators.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Process, Metallurgy, Chemical, or similar Engineering. Advanced degrees are encouraged but not required.
  • Ability to respond to, adapt to, and create solutions for emerging challenges.
  • Ability to work effectively together in a team environment to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work independently to proactively solve problems and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Ability to communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal team members to build bridges and promote longterm relationships.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
