JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing daily operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry staff. Ensures guestrooms, public spaces, and employee areas are well-maintained and clean. Conducts inspections and ensures corrective actions are taken promptly. Focuses on enhancing guest and employee satisfaction while managing the budget effectively.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in housekeeping or a related field.
OR

  • 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field; no prior work experience needed.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Managing Housekeeping Operations and Budgets

  • Ensures timely communication of guest room status to Front Desk.
  • Daily inspection of guestrooms.
  • Assigns tasks for immediate room cleaning and upcoming check-outs.
  • Monitors inventory to maintain adequate supplies.
  • Supervises thorough inspection of guestrooms and public areas.
  • Manages operations to meet or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Ensures staff have necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Communicates areas needing attention to staff.
  • Supervises daily Housekeeping operations to maintain standards.
  • Participates in departmental meetings to drive results.

Conducting Human Resources Activities

  • Utilizes training tools to train and mentor room attendants.
  • Builds positive relationships with employees.
  • Creates employee schedules based on business needs.
  • Ensures employees are aware of expectations and policies.
  • Ensures fair administration of policies and procedures.
  • Manages staffing levels to meet service and financial goals.
  • Provides feedback and recognition to employees.
  • Actively participates in employee recognition and feedback programs.
  • Addresses and resolves employee concerns professionally.
  • Implements discipline procedures when necessary.
  • Recognizes and appreciates team contributions.
