**The Opportunity

**Country Liaison and Youth Coordinator, FP 2030 Latin America & Caribbean Regional Hub
**ROLE PURPOSE**

The LAC regional Hub will have a Country Liaison and Youth Coordinator who will be accountable for supporting the coordination of country engagement and youth-led initiatives by the regional hub leadership.

**Context**:Family Planning 2030 (FP2030) is a global partnership of governments, civil society, multilateral organizations, donors, private sector, and researchers committed to supporting the rights of women and girls who wish to use contraception. FP2030’s vision is a future where women and girls everywhere have the freedom and ability to lead healthy lives, make their own informed decisions about using contraception and having children, and participate as equals in society and its development.

The FP2030 Support Network includes five regional hubs: North, West and Central Africa; East and Southern Africa; Asia and the Pacific; and Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America and Europe, led by an Executive Director, supported by an Executive Directorate team, who reports to the Governing Board. The FP2030 LAC Hub will be headed by a Managing Director supported by a small team hosted by Save the Children. Save the Children and PROFAMILIA-Colombia working in a collaborative manner have been selected as the host of the FP2030 Latin America & Caribbean Regional Hub.

**KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY**:
**The Country Liaison and Youth Coordinator will be accountable on the following**:
**Strategic Planning and Coordination**:

- Under the leadership of the LAC Regional Hub Managing Director, and the rest of the Hub team, support the design and implementation of FP2030’s strategic efforts, engagement, and work to address and meet the family planning/contraceptive needs of adolescents and youth (A/Y), guided by FP2030’s Rights and Empowerment Principles for Family Planning and framing of Positive Youth Development, as well as FP2030’s adolescent and youth strategy.
- Plan and engage internal and external FP2030 partners and networks to leverage collective influence and identify regional gaps and opportunities regarding A/Y contraceptive access and use, including those related to adolescent data, financing, and technical assistance needs.
- Support and identify focused areas of support to advance progress in country commitments, and make connections across key thematic areas, including financing, High Impact Practices (HIPs) in FP, Emergency Preparedness and Resilience (EPR), and FP integration. Coordinate, support and accelerate efforts and focus on A/Y issues, including increasing and improving A/Y data, strategic communications, and global advocacy opportunities.

**External Relations/Stakeholder Coordination**:

- Support FP2030 efforts and understanding with external A/Y stakeholders, including donors, multilateral and implementing organizations, and other efforts with a focus on:

- Integrating A/Y issues into broader frameworks (SDGs, UHC, GFF, EWEC, SRHR, girls’ empowerment, HIV/AIDS, and other global development agendas) as relevant.
- Deepening relationships - align the Support Network A/Y-related work and proactively identify collaborative opportunities with existing major A/Y partners, including but not limited to WHO, USAID, IPPF, UNFPA, EWEC-LAC, PMNCH, GFF and other bodies.
- Building linkages and collaborations between the FP2030 community and those working on issues related to integrating services to holistically meet the needs of adolescent girls and young people, including as related to HIV/AIDS, HPV/cervical cancer, and prevention and care of adolescent pregnancy, as well as ending child marriage, and keeping girls in school, etc.
- Coordinate convenings (to include virtual and in-person meetings as appropriate) of focal points and country partners.
- Contribute to high level engagement meetings by documenting progress and key challenges, and by drafting clear and concise executive summaries of countries achievements and challenges.
- Identify, develop, and amplify countries’ success stories and best practices through annual progress reports, newsletters, social media, and other channels in collaboration with country partners and with the Communications team.
- Represent FP2030 at external events, meetings and on task teams on A&Y matters, including humanitarian regional platforms ( R4V, RedLac and Foro LAC)

**Technical Support**
- Support the design and implementation of FP2030’s regional support model to better address A/Y contraceptive needs, with an emphasis on adolescents and youth.
- Provide technical support to the youth & CSO partnerships focal persons, to strengthen existing and build new partnerships with youth networks and organizations.

**Resource Mobilisation**:

- Support and identify opportunities for business development according to the set strategy for the region and
