A New York Based tile company, specializing in mosaics, porcelain, and natural stone, and is seeking a dynamic Purchasing Specialist. The purchasing specialist will be focus on developing a supply and production plan for all the product lines of the company. They will work maintaining and managing Inventory to ensure customer requirements can be met given capacity constraint, supporting complexity and financial objectives. This position will regularly interact with all functional area in the company to meet strategic company goals. Primary Responsibilities Develops inventory targets, such as ABC patterns (inventory prioritization), and monitors inventory levels to optimize operations, service levels and working capital investment. Analyzes and manage proper inventory flow, including demand planning & forecasting, setting reorder points, expedites, defers and diverts. Identifies long-term critical supply constraints; works with Supply Chain functions to resolve. Performs factory capacity analysis to determine impact of new items on current production processes. Manages supply chain levels for different product lines and ensure availability at all warehouses. Measures and reports on key supply chain metrics, including forecast accuracy, turns, on-time delivery, stockouts, and inventory levels; identifies new metrics and reports to improve overall supply chain performance. Performs additional duties as required and or requested.
