UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security.

The UN Women Regional Office for the Americas and the Caribbean is one of the six regional offices of UN Women, responsible for implementing regional programs, projects, and activities, promoting technical and coordination support to the Country Offices of the region, as well as to serve as a liaison between them and the Headquarters Office.

The work of UN Women’s Ending Violence against Women (EVAW) Section is focused on a comprehensive approach to ending violence against women that addresses legislation and policies, prevention, services for survivors, research and data, creating safe public spaces in different settings and strengthening women’s rights movements to end violence against women. The Generation Equality Action Coalition on GBV has galvanized governments, CSOs, international organizations, philanthropies and the private sector to deliver transformational progress towards the elimination and prevention of GBV through four concrete actions: (1) Creating enabling policy, legal and resource environments; (2) Scaling up evidence driven prevention programming; (3) Scaling up comprehensive, accessible and quality services for survivors; and (4) Enabling and empowering autonomous girl-led & women’s rights organizations to exercise their expertise. In this context UN Women is partnering with the EU and the UN Trust Fund to implement a new programme to strengthen coalition building and advocacy to end gender-based violence against women and girls.

Under the technical guidance of the Policy and Programme Management Specialist for the Ending Violence Against Women at UN Women´s Headquarters Office, and direct supervision of the Regional Policy Specialist for the Ending Violence Against Women at UN Women’s Regional Office for the Americas and the Caribbean, the **Regional Programme Coordination Analyst** is responsible for supporting the coordination and implementation of all regional components of the new EU programme that UN Women is implementing with the UN Trust Fund. This includes, establishing, nurturing, and managing partnerships with regional women’s rights coalitions and other development actors and multistakeholder partners to develop and advance a shared advocacy agenda on ending violence against women and girls. It also includes providing technical support to CSOs and WROs on advocacy strategies, coordinating and convening advocacy spaces and coalition building at the regional level and supporting in leveraging opportunities to elevate and amplify advocacy priorities at the global level.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**1. Coordinate the EVAW Programme focused on strengthening women’s rights movements, coalition building and advocacy to end violence against women and girls**
- Coordinate the overall Programme/Portfolio work plan development and implementation according to programme document;
- Prepare and present work-plans, periodic narrative progress reports and expenditures status reports to the Programme Board and UN Women;
- Establish systems for project planning, implementation and monitoring, in collaboration with partners;
- Record and maintain documents on relevant Programme activities, issues, and risks.

**2. Guide coordination with global/regional/national partners and other stakeholders, with the support of the Regional Policy Specialist for Ending Violence Against Women at UN Women’s Regional Office for the Americas and the Caribbean.**
- Coordinate relationships with global/regional/national partners to support implementation and expansion of the Programme/Portfolio, raise potential problems and provide solutions;
- Identify capacity building needs and support partners through technical assistance, mentoring, training, cross-partner learning, and capacity development initiatives.

**3. Coordinate the monitoring and reporting on the Programme/Portfolios**
- Gather and compile all information necessary for monitoring and reporting on programmes and projects from the planning to the evaluation stages;
- Monitor the implementation of activities and the expenditure of funds by partners; conduct regular monitoring visits;
