( medsurg/ palliative care/ remote tele) Geisinger Pavilion 4th floor (GP4) is a 14 bed (all private) medical-surgical telemetry unit opening in the Spring of 2018. Our patient aggregation includes medicine and telemetry patients. Typical medicine patient diagnoses include but not limited to pancreatitis, pneumonia, acute renal failure, sepsis, altered mental status, UTI, respiratory infection, wound care, and cardiac monitoring. Brand new unit with developing culture and with an experienced leadership team.
Nurse patient ratio is 4:1 on day and evening shift with night shift being 5 or 6:1. A modified primary nurse model is used as our care delivery model. The nursing team includes Registered Nurses, Nursing Assistants and Unit Desk Clerks (day and evening shifts). We seek individuals accustomed to working in a fast-paced team environment that is accomplished through strong teamwork.
