As a Regional Director, you will play a critical role in shaping our strategy and implementation in the Latin America and Caribbean region. Your expertise and leadership skills will enable us to deliver impactful programs and projects that improve the lives of rural people.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and accomplished professional to lead our Regional Office in Panama City, Panama. The successful candidate will have at least 12 years of experience in a technically related field, with a proven track record of leading multicultural teams and managing complex programs and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional strategies and plans aligned with IFAD's corporate goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including governments, international organizations, and private sector entities.
- Represent IFAD in regional and international forums, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with IFAD's policies, procedures, and standards, as well as donor requirements.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in agriculture, development economics, or a related field.
- At least 12 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a multilateral organization or national organization providing support on a global scope.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to lead and manage multicultural teams.
- Knowledge and working experience in Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Excellent English and Spanish language skills.
- Working knowledge of French and Portuguese is an advantage.
