Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Paper Trader to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with suppliers and clients, procuring materials, and performing inspections to ensure quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients through face-to-face meetings, emails, and telephone calls
  • Procure high-quality materials from suppliers
  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials to ensure quality and compliance
  • Monitor market trends and prices to negotiate with suppliers and clients
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to suppliers and clients
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a commercial or logistics role in the commodity trading sector, preferably in Recovered Paper, Plastics, or Metals
  • Strong knowledge of the Paper and Recycling industry, including paper mills and recycling plants
  • Native speaker of Spanish or Portuguese, with proficiency in English; additional languages are an asset
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Availability for business travel
  • Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
