Regional Development Director for Industrial Scaffolding

The Regional Director will be responsible for leading the development of the Business Unit Scaffolding Industrial for the defined geographical region with a particular emphasis on sales strategy and development, market positioning, and leading the development of new operating entities (regions and/or countries) at the defined area level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a strategic overview of the industrial scaffolding market
- Work closely with the CEO to develop and execute strategic planning for the region in line with the Global Scaffolding Organization's strategic & operational objectives
- Responsible for regional budget and forecasts in line with the overall business unit strategy and budget
- Identify scaffolding standards for the region and countries
- Set key performance indicators, goals, and direction for the region
Sales Strategy & Development:
- Develop regional sales and business development strategies in alignment with the Executive team
- Build out a sales focused organization within the region, relevant to the market and country specific requirements
- Champion the "Unique Value Proposition" and work closely with Marketing functions to drive the awareness and growth of the brand, to align with sales and revenue targets
- Work closely with the Key Account Management focal point and ensure a clear strategy to execute and maximize the Key Account strategy regionally
- Identify potential customers and projects and secure industrial scaffolding business
- Manage projects and determine project sales strategy (including managing bidding process, proposal development, etc)
Operational Leadership:
- Champion a "safety first" and zero tolerance safety culture, ensuring alignment with expectations of the industrial segment customers
- Work closely with functional leaders to ensure a common and synergistic approach to operations, and ensures the avoidance of duplication in functions, resources, and infrastructure
- Support country leaders with day-to-day operational leadership and oversight
- Support Country Managers, and the Sales Team(s) with demand planning
- Support Country Sales Team to acquire and coordinate Key & Large Scale Projects
- Review operational and financial performance regionally
Talent Development:
- Develop the talent attraction and hiring strategy to build out the regional organization, with an emphasis on attracting and retaining top candidates to drive growth into new market segments
- Work closely with the Executive team and country leadership to optimize organizational structure to provide efficient operating practices and customer focused delivery model
