Manage legal affairs for Central America & The Caribbean affiliate in line with global vision and priorities Draft, review and negotiate contracts in all relevant fields (distribution, promotion, purchasing etc.) General Legal Advice: Providing legal advice and recommendations for any legal questions including but not restricted to Competition Law, Commercial Law, Pharmaceutical Law (particularly in connection to Market Access), Data Privacy Law (together with HQ), New Technologies, Criminal Law, IP Law Develop standardized and localized processes and templates to efficiently deliver legal services Manage litigation in accordance with internal organization charter Provide guidance, training and support to affiliate on development, maintenance and interpretation of internal legal policies and procedures. Direct and conduct periodic reviews and updates related to internal legal policies and procedures New legislation follow-up, analysis of legal changes and their impact on the company, related recommendations Manage under HQ guidelines the local network of law firms, ensuring cost optimization Manage Local Compliance Program through tailored trainings, collaborative interactions with different areas of the company, risk assessment and monitoring Identify Compliance trends and design and implement appropriate programs, plans and strategies Work closely with local and regional stakeholders to ensure company's compliance policies are developed, implemented and maintained Clearly communicate throughout the Company a culture of ethics, integrity and compliance, including personal accountability at all levels Contribute to the development of country specific compliance policies and procedures and code of conduct Review and monitor promotional activities and business proposals and ensuring company business practices in line with company compliance policies, guidelines, local Code of the Industry as well as relevance laws and regulations Advise country management and functional leaders on new/ proposed legislation, implement sensible changes to Company's compliance program to comply with new regulatory requirements and legislation Manage the daily compliance related inquiries and communicate compliance requirements Ensures compliance with data privacy/protection regulations and GDPR
