- As a **General Manager, Field Services and Workshops**you will have the responsibility in handling the Field Services and Workshop organization in the EB AMER Central Region. The preferred location for this position is in any country within the Region.

**In this position, your main responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Responsible for Work filed service department planning and budgeting activities in accordance with Wärtsilä instructions schedules and time tables.
- Managing four groups of personnel; E&A, Technical Advisors & Gas Engine specialists, 4 stroke Engineers and Planners focused on people, career planning, quality, succession and competence
- Develop the department business by continuous improvement of the department’s activities in service.
- Efficient implementation of all the service agreements.
- Provide customer support through written and verbal communication.
- Handle technical discussions/ communications with customer and product factories.
- Prepare necessary documentation for training purpose.
- Plan and execute customer training courses.
- To handle warranty claims effectively and efficiently.
- Support field service, spare parts sales and service sales department to achieve company’s targeted goals
- Responsible for all Workshop activities and company’s targeted goals.
- Responsible for all safety measures around Workshop activities.- Has relevant education, such as B.Sc. or M.Sc. Engineering /Business similar- Has coaching skills to stretch the team performance- Has experience in Central Region market in the Americas- Is a recognised and respected leader with great ability to build high performing teams based on trust.- Is able to create clarity on direction and vision- Inspires people to take action towards the future goals- Has a business and goal-oriented mind-set

**Proven track record around the following**:

- Experience in Field Services in Wartsila or similar industry
- Medium speed engine Knowledge (Crankshaft Alignment, Major repair, Scheduled Maintenance, Theoretical knowledge)
- Technical analysis: Trouble shooting, mechanical and control & automation
- Service General Competencies: Service Products; Service Software; Wärtsilä general terms and conditions.
- Quality and safety certificates and knowledge
- Cost awareness and effectiveness
