Job Title: Translation Specialist

Company: Prestige Bahamas Corporate Services

Location: Remote

**Job Type**: Freelance/Contract (typically 5-10 hours/week)

Prestige Bahamas Corporate Services is seeking skilled translators proficient in translating documents from Spanish to one of the following languages: Arabic, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, or Cantonese. Additional consideration will be given to individuals who are familiar with terms related to financial markets, policy, or law as well as those who have a strong command of English. As a translator with our company, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between our organization and our clients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately translate a variety of business and policy documents containing terms related to finance, law, or corporate governance.
- Ensure the translated content maintains the intended meaning, tone, and style of the original document.
- Conduct thorough proofreading and editing to ensure accuracy, grammar, and overall quality of translated documents.
- Collaborate with other translators, editors, and project managers to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality translations.
- Conduct research and consult relevant reference materials to enhance translation accuracy and terminology consistency.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

**Requirements**:

- Native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and one of the following languages: Arabic, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
- Proven experience as a translator translating documents from Spanish to Arabic, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
- Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and syntax in both languages.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in using translation tools and software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness to ensure translations are contextually appropriate for the target audience.

Education and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or accreditations in translation, law, policy, or finance are a plus.
- Previous experience translating legal, technical, or business documents is highly desirable.
