Job Description What's The Role?The main role of the Senior Data Engineer is to translate customer requirements and develop and deliver an optimal solution that fits industry standards and best practices.Management of the IT infrastructure including all internal IT and End User Technology & Software Support (Enterprise solutions, Corporate, BI for IT, testing, training. QA testing. What You'll DoTranslate business needs to technical design documentationDesign, build and deploy of enterprise Data Lakes / Data warehouses with large volumes of data, preferably on the Cloud.Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs and deliver optimal solutions.Creating and maintaining data pipeline architectures across multiple data sources.Maintain and support data analytics platformsCreate tools to store dataConduct unit testing and troubleshootingEvaluate and improve existing BI systemsDevelop and execute database queries and conduct analysesDevelop and update technical documentation Ensure all deliverables are fit for business purposes and adhere to industry and best practiceCollaborate with IT Demand and IT Delivery as required Knowledge & Experience: Strong requirements gathering and analysis experienceProven experience as a BI developer or analystExperience building ETL data pipelines.Background in data warehouse design and data miningExperience with AWS data tools such as S3, Athena, EMR, Data Wrangler, Glue, Quick sight and SagemakerBroad telco architecture experience covering the full enterprise stack. Proven experience engaging effectively with executive and senior level management.
Demonstrable experience in working in a large telco in a complex operational environment collaborating with cross-functional teamsSkills & Abilities: Understand the system development life cycle, software management approach, requirements, and designData modeling and database design.
