Duties and Responsibilities Tasks / Expected OutcomesUnder the direct supervision of the Gender Team Leader the intern will support the delivery of activities and undertake advocacy and coordination of the following main areas: Social Media: - Development of monthly reports with analytics for social media channels. Monitoring key initiatives during the month. Supporting the development of SM packages for events and/or launches during the month. Support the gender team on communicating with Country Offices in the region for project development. - Supporting the gender team with live tweeting during events (using pre-approved messages and pre-approved photos).Supporting Communication: - Support activities such as online workshops and webinars to provide pragmatic guidance and capacity building opportunities and tools to design and implement gender-responsive policies and initiatives. - Support in the coordination and facilitation of national and regional events with assistance regarding communication and/or logístical needs. Support quality assurance processes for communications products. - Support the revision of communications products to ensure their content is up to the UNDP standards.
- Attention to details. Supervision As part of the UNDP Intern will benefit from the following supervision modalities: Structured guidance provided by the supervisor, especially at the beginning of the assignment.Establishment of a work plan, with clear key results.Effective supervision through knowledge sharing and performance/development feedback throughout the assignment. Easy access to the supervisor.Participation in Unit/Team/Office meetings to ensure integration and operational effectiveness.Guidance and advice in relation to learning and training opportunities within the field of expertise.Completion of Performance Review. Required Skills and Experience Education, Experience, Language requirements Be enrolled in the final academic year of a university degree programme (such as Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in Communications, international relations, social sciences, or related disciplines.

orBe enrolled in a graduate degree programme (such as a master's programme, or higher) in Communications, international relations, social sciences, or related disciplines. or Have graduated with a university or graduate degree in Communications, international relations, social sciences, or related disciplines and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation;orBe enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship programme and undertake the internship as part of this programme.Strong commitment to promoting gender equality, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience: Experience in communications, development and gender equality would be desirable. Experience with Adobe is a plus.Language Requirements: Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
