If you see yourself being part of a team that helps the global economy grow through our worldwide network of customers and terminals, then we want to hear from youWhat we are looking forThe Senior Security & Loss Prevention Manager will be in charge of the development, implementation, and compliance of security standards, processes and procedures across the organization in our Latin American (LAM) business.The position has accountability for security risk management in LAM for our people and of our supply chain dealing with internal stakeholders and assets (offices, warehouses, Depo´s, maintenance repair stores, trucking, rail, and air cargo) and our external customers, vendors, and local authorities. This includes being capable of identifying and analyzing security risks and threats, and then implement and manage security mitigation activities for relevance, quality and impact.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement policies, templates, procedures, guidelines, and minimum requirements for security measures related to facilities (depots, warehouses etc.) making sure that they are adequately protected and in compliance with internal minimum requirements and external regulations (C-TPAT, TAPA, IATA, AEO, etc.) - all with support from security at HQ.Promote and educate HSSE and Security staff in your region on APMMs security risk management program as part of the company HSSE Management Framework.Serve as primary point of contact in your region for supply chain & logistics security enquiries.Support the development and implementation of Maersk’s regional supply chain security strategies and standards.

Perform tasks and/or projects as assigned by line manager or department head.Establish loss prevention and crime detection strategies within your region/areas, get management buy-in for these strategies and implement them accordingly.Establish respectful and relevant working relationships with senior leaders, key stakeholders, and regional government entities.Conduct security risk assessments of crime trends and geo-political developments, new business proposals and other potential business threats and risks.Present findings and required mitigations to Senior Management for approval and support.Maintain regional security related dashboards and reporting protocols by utilizing data.Support the implementation of security related trainings and/or awareness material, and take part in trainings and capacity building sessions as required.Ensure that our Duty of Care (DoC) Security program is introduced and implemented across the region.Provide briefings to new staff and spouses in high-risk locations. RequirementsYou must have high moral and ethical standards since we are in the business of doing things right. This means that you must be able to reflect and embrace our values.Bachelor’s or master’s degree education in supply chain management, logistics, international studies, security management, business administration or similar.Certified in security management, and it would be great if you already understand the drivers of crime and impactful crime prevention, but it is not a requirement.Prior Leadership/management experience as you will lead and guide areas security and HSSE managers without them directly reporting to you.Proven track record of working with supply chain management, logistics, international studies or similar at a management level in your regionGood understanding of the geo-political risks, challenges, and opportunities in the regionDemonstrated strong networking and interpersonal skills, as well as professionalism to deal with all levels of staffExperience with illegal cargo, counterfeit, and smuggling (desirable)Capable of working in a fast-paced environment where standardization, minimum requirements, and task execution matters.Don´t be scared but data is important to us (incident data, etc.) so you must feel comfortable in using number and occurrences to find patterns, measure impact and quality, as well as work progress.
