JOB PURPOSE You will be an integral part of Millicom's Group Information Security team, a team which aims to protect the company assets from unauthorized access, loss or leakage.

You will be responsible for managing the monitoring, detection, and response processes across the Company.

This role leads the analysis and investigation efforts for events and information security incidents, defines proper mitigations and countermeasures and proposes improvements to the monitoring tools, systems and processes that support the core mission of defending the organization against cyber-threats.

It requires strong technical knowledge and experience with security monitoring tools and experience with the analysis of information security logs and threats, excellent communication skills and coordination with local and remote team members in evaluating security incidents or high-risk situations within an environment to provide clear, concise recommendations and feedback to security leadership.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The current position will have the following responsibilities: SOC, service and vendor management Manage the daily operations and effectiveness of the GSOC.

Monitor the services delivered by the vendor and administrate the contract (e.g., invoicing).


Monitoring and Incident response Lead and perform investigation of all detected events and incidents, including log analysis, threats and threat actor's research.

Partner with in-country leaders to ensure all aspects of incident management and resolution are in place and functioning at a high level.

Partner with peers in the group and local teams to ensure all detected events or incidents are investigated, tracked, and mitigated in a consistent, timely manner.

Support root cause analysis for all incidents, to ensure proper mitigations and countermeasures are applied.

Participate in and, if required, chair post-incident reviews and root cause analysis.

Participate in the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to GSOC operations, to benchmark and further enhance capabilities.

Participate in assessments and tabletop exercises, and other activities that contribute to operational readiness.

Technology Support the evaluation of the latest technologies or the required updates and tunning of the tools, tactics and technologies used within the company that may improve the monitoring, detection, and response process.

Benchmark and implement industry best practices to detect and mitigate potential threats. Collaborate with management in developing technical direction.

Communication Build a collaborative communication with threat intelligence, threat hunting and vulnerability management process owners to ensure outcomes from event and incident analysis feed these processes and vice versa, promoting permanent improvement and evolution of the monitoring, detection, and response processes.

Act as an advisor and partner to both Millicom and third parties regarding security risks; work collaboratively with impacted parties to provide recommendations.

The role is part of the Group Information Security team, reporting directly to the Security Operation Center Manager.

The role will have interfaces with numerous stakeholders at group and local levels, within and out the Information Security teams.

The role will be based at our Tigo Technology Center based in Panama. International travel will be required, up to 30%.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in developing and managing information technology and security risk and compliance programs in a mid to large-scale enterprise environments, preferably in a SOC environment.

Master's degree in relevant discipline (IT, Cyber Security) is desirable.
