a lifestyle division which includes Skechers Memory Foam and the charity line BOBS from Skechers, and Skechers Performance which includes Skechers GOrun and Skechers GOwalk footwear.
Beyond the United States, Skechers product is available in more than 120 countries and territories through an international network of subsidiaries in Canada, Brazil, Chile, Japan, and across Europe, as well as through joint ventures in Asia and distributors around the world.
Skechers ships product through a 1.82 million square-foot, fully automated, LEED-Gold certified distribution facility in California that serves North America.
The Company also operates a 753,000-square-foot facility in Belgium that serves Europe and ships directly to the rest of the planet.
Job DescriptionPosition Summary:
The Inbound Operations Manager in Skechers is responsible for day to day operations at our Distribution Center, located in Panamá.
Will be responsabile for overseeing the 3rd party distribution operation at the DC with the ultimate goal of ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders to customers.
Will be in charge of Replenishment, Labeling and Customs areas.Main Goals:
Manage operational strategy for products, including developing, implementing, and managing reverse logistic service operations.
Responsible for the Consumer Returns Disposition Strategy, defining recovery directives for all the products, optimizing inventory, turnaround time, and maximizing recovery ratesResponsible to drive the operations teams in charge of defining and implementing recovery plans, tracking tasks execution and costs across the supply chain, and providing regular updates and KPI to stakeholders until completionDrive product and operational improvement to optimize and reduce overall end-to-end reverse logistic cycle time and inventoryCollaborate with regional hub managers to align reverse logistic processes and KPIThe person in this position will be required to: Quickly learn all aspects of the operation.
Delegate the daily workload.Ensure effectiveness of 3rd party performance.
Train employees.
Monitor all aspects of the operation.
Communicate with and support the goals of sales and allocations departments.
Maintain distribution management in the US well-informed of all pertinent details.
QualificationsEducation, Experience and Required Skills:
- 8+ years' experience in DC management. Demonstrable experience and success in most aspects of DC Operations. Significant knowledge and experience in importation and exportation related to Central and South America. Excellent business communication skills in English and Spanish, including following up, listening skills, written, and oral. A college degree in related field preferred. Experience in footwear industry distribution preferred. Experience with Manhattan Associates or similar WMS software preferred. Advanced PC and MS Office skills. Excellent analytical skills. Excellent leadership skills. Ability to visualize, create, implement, and document effective processes. Ability to create effective reporting. Ability to train others in an effective manner. Excellent attention to detail. Commitment to company goals is essential. Integrity and good work habits required. Ability to prioritize correctly. Ability to maintain appropriate level of confidentiality and correctly judge the sensitivity of information/situations.
