Wilhelmsen Ships Service Panama is looking for a Logistics Officer which main role will be perform the customs paperwork related to the inbound/outbound or deliveries of our products to the vessels in transit in our site.

This position will carry a good control of all the Terminal Ports tickets, DMCs (entrances and exits of free zone), CONAPRED (local government authority) such as documents follow up, purchasing and admin activities related to the operation.


We want to join a team member that is capable to guaranteeing that all processes and steps in the last mile delivery are performed in a good and efficient manner, this position has interactions with 3rd party companies other colleague's not only locally but internationally as we are a Global Network company.

If you has experience with Supply Chain and warehousing Operations, you are familiar understanding and maintaining processes, working with systems to ensure that company KPI ́s are met you are the person that we are looking for

The work is based in our office located in Panama Office.

Part of the main functions for this role are:

  • Maintain accurate data in our system and all the inbound/outbound controls related to the customers' orders, terminal-Ports tickets and CONAPRED.
  • Perform the customs paperwork in a good and efficient manner (DMC and SIGA).
  • Ensure the compliance to all rules and regulations related to customs and ports entrance permits for the Last Mile Deliveries.
  • Full support and covering weekend shifts along with the Dispatch Coordinator, Customs Specialist, and Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Maintain a firm understanding of Dangerous Goods customs handling requirements.
  • Assist to ensure an overall optimum level of inventories in accordance with customer demand.
  • Support on the stock counts along with the Warehouse Supervisor according to the agreed frequency, handle the variances if any.
  • Proper follow up and paperwork with the government (UCQ) when a substance controlled to be supplied.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor ́s Degree finished in fields related to, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation of Goods or similar or previous experience or good knowledge of how works the Supply Chain activities and warehousing
  • Good operational management skills with a proactive, decisive and resultoriented approach
  • Good command of written and spoken English (intermediate level minimum)
  • Ability to communicate efficiently on all levels with different nationalities and cultures
  • Proactive, takes responsibility and deliver results with a positive mindset
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of IFS System or any other ERP System from order receipt to invoicing
  • A person very oriented to customer success
