Credit Risk Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial statementsand assessment of credit requests, including new requests and ongoing portfolio monitoring
  • Provide independent review, validation and Credit Analysis to Risk management.
  • Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to managers, especially findings that involve a customer ability to repay.
  • Provide recommendations tied to credit analysis and assessment of default risk
  • Reconcile credit agreements with data of the ETRM system to identify discrepancies and variances
  • Help Define and Monitor Compliance with the necessary and appropriate Credit Risk Policy, limits, standards, and governance of these (consistent with AES MCAC and Corporate Credit Risk Policy).
  • Tracking of credit limits and collateral postings for customer portfolio
  • Prepare Credit metrics and reporting to senior management and governance committees.
  • Fully meet Credit Risk policy and limits.

Requiriments

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Accounting, Finance or related
  • 4 years of strong quantitative experience
  • Statistical, financial and analytical skills for evaluation of risk exposure
  • Crossfunctional interactions and ability to drive collective decisionmaking
  • Ability to assess risk tolerance, understand presented strategies and make recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills both in English and Spanish
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and general computer use, knowledge of Allegro, Moody's or similar a plus
