**The Opportunity
The position will be based in Panama under a local contract.

**Regional Human Resources Coordinator
**ROLE PURPOSE**

The post holder is a key member of the Regional Human Resources team, is a trusted partner of the Regional Human Resources Director, HR Managers in the Country Offices (COs) and internal clients in the LAC Regional Office in all matters related to the administration and shall be responsible for supporting the human resources functions within the Regional Office of Save the Children LAC. The position may also require back-up support for country offices. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

**KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY**:
**Strengthening HR Capacity in the Region**
- Provide support to the Regional Office and Country Offices in building capacities in different HR areas such as performance management, talent management, Oracle system, timesheet procedures, staff wellbeing, unconscious bias, and others.
- If requested, travel to Country Offices to provide in-person practical hands-on support, technical trainings and/or support in the implementation of special projects.
- Support Country Offices in the development, implementation, and follow up of wellbeing activities.
- Support to the Regional Office and Country Offices in the development process of Technical Expert staff.

**HR Operations and administration**
- Maintain Oracle HRIS data for national and international staff in the Regional Office and support to countries in the region to ensure accurate and updated data in the system.
- Responsible for ensuring the quality of staff data in the region.
- Support HR teams in Country Offices in the use of HRIS Oracle system, liaise with the Centre Office to report issues, changes and provide required information.
- Provide guidance on Oracle reports to HR teams in the region.
- Maintain permanent contact with the Oracle technical team at Centre Office to ensure proper functioning of the system.
- Coordinate the monthly payroll process for national staff with the outsourcing service provider and report changes for international staff in the region.
- Coordinate the payment process to external providers for services related to HR operations.
- Ensure all the contract requirements for national staff in Panama and International staff in the region are met aligned with internal policies and local law.
- Coordinate all the administrative and legal requirements for hiring new local staff for the Regional Office including Ministry of Labour, Local Social Security, Tax Authority, etc.
- Report inclusions, changes, and health/life insurance cancellations for national staff in the Regional Office and report to Centre Office the changes / modifications for international staff based in the region.
- Ensure monthly annual leave reconciliation in ORACLE and Timesheet for Panama national staff and Regional Office international staff.
- Keep digital personnel records for Panama national staff and international staff working in LAC (including International. staff in Country Offices)
- Conduct general induction sessions (RO) and HR induction (HR systems) to new joiners at Panama Regional Office and international staff in Country Offices.
- Ensure new staff at the Regional Office complete all mandatory trainings as defined in the passport to success / induction process.
- Coordinate the preparation of the regional quarterly reports, coordinating the timely collection of information from the COs Actively participate in change projects impacting HR processes within the RO and Cos

**Policy, Global and Regional HR initiatives**
- Provide quality advice to develop innovative HR approaches and solutions to problems.
- Support HR staff at country level to implement global and in-country specific HR initiatives.
- Provide counsel and practical support to HR Managers in Country Offices in topics related to employee relations, seeking guidance and support from the Regional HR Director and Center Office, as needed.
- Liaise with the HR teams at country level to support development and implementation of action plans following the Share Your View / Engagement Survey results.

**Performance Management**
- Conduct an effective monitoring and control of the Performance Management process in the region, sharing the statistics of completion every quarter.
- Conduct quarterly training sessions for new staff at the Regional Office in the principles and policies of performance management.

To be successful, you will bring/have:

- Bachelor´s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Psychology, or similar relevant field required.
- Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
- Knowledge of French language is a plus.
- A Minimum 5 years of experience in general human resources administration with proven technical skills in the HR cycle.
